CPI Antitrust Chronicle – IP on Tech’s Cutting Edge: LeadershIP EU
The November 2017 Antitrust Chronicle addresses issues related to the inaugural LeadershIP EU Conference, which took place in Brussels on September 25th. The panelists at the conference came from the private and public sectors: regulators, academics and private practitioners. The Chronicle features articles from speakers at the LeadershIP EU conference from all of the panels. A focus of the day-long conference featured ranging views on how to “get it right” in innovation policy, intellectual property policy and antitrust policy. Notably, the intersection and overlay of IP and antitrust with respect to the development of standardized technology was a hotly-debated topic. 5G technologies and the Internet of Things have the potential to make a big impact on our lives, the way we interact, communicate socially and do things in the future, in the same way that today’s cellular technologies have become ubiquitous throughout the world.
